Support Staff Vacancies

We currently have two vacancies for a full time Receptionist and a part time School Nurse, please see below for more details.

Receptionist

Start Date: November 2019

We are looking to appoint a personable, friendly and confident individual to represent the school in a professional manner, as the initial point of contact for parents, carers, students and visitors. Building excellent relationships with parents/carers, students and staff is an essential part of this role and the ideal candidate will have experience of working in a school or similar environment.

Time Commitment: Term Time including INSET days plus one week. 

9am – 6pm with one hour for lunch.  40 hours per week.  The role holder will be expected to be flexible to support events outside of normal office hours for major events such as Parents Evenings, Open Days, Founders Day, Careers Fairs and Fundraising events.

Annual Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 depending on experience.

Role Summary

To be the main contact person for all parents and visitors and assist in the successful administration of the school.

  • The post requires that you will promote the smooth running and efficiency of how the school handles visitors to site and handles incoming calls and messages.
  • To ensure that the front of house runs efficiently and effectively and is presentable and welcoming at all times.
  • To be the first point of call during the school day to deal with all matters relating to the medical welfare of students including First Aid. First aid training will be provided.
  • To actively develop positive, supportive relations with visitors, staff, pupils and their parents/carers.
  • To be organised, able to multitask, work flexibly and have a ‘can do’ approach to work, as no two days are the same. 
  • You will be expected to maintain and promote the ethos of the school in all your dealings with pupils, parents and visitors.
  • To assist the school with a wide variety of administrative tasks, requiring a good level of IT skills.

Skills

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with pupils and parents
  • SIMS Experience
  • Experience of ParentPay would be an advantage

School Nurse

Start Date: November 2019

West London Free School is a busy, vibrant school, committed to safeguarding and promoting the health and welfare of children. We require a School Nurse to provide a first aid service in all emergency and non-emergency situations for students, staff and visitors. 

Building excellent relationships with parents/carers, students and staff is an essential part of this role and the ideal candidate will have experience of working in a school or similar environment.

Time Commitment: Term Time including INSET days. 

22.5 hours per week.  The role holder will be expected to be flexible to support events outside of normal office hours for major events such as Parents Evenings, Open Days, Founders’ Day, Careers Fairs and Fundraising events.

Annual Salary: £27,000 - £31,500 FTE depending on experience.

Role Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, organised and well-qualified School Nurse to join our successful staff team. The Nurse will be responsible for health provision to pupils within the School. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a school environment and/or within a child-centred clinical setting.

The role is being offered as a part time, permanent position and carries a competitive salary.
